About Me

I love history - but most especially the stories that don’t often get told. And when I started sharing facts about life for women in the Regency Era, I quickly realized that other people found these stories interesting, too. After a long while of sharing short facts on TikTok, I suddenly started dreaming about starting a blog where I can show the full stories, rather than parts of them. And that’s how this site was born!

My Blog!

A stack of multi-colored Jane Austen hardcover books, including Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, and Emma.

Regency Etiquette

A big part of this blog focuses on Regency Etiquette. These have always been my most popular topic, so I knew once I created a blog that it would have to be featured on it. (And I can’t deny that I love learning about what was considered proper and what was considered unladylike in a world that feels so far away from where we are today).

The Victorian Era is an extremely famous point in history, but do we know everything? We know what people wore, what inventions were created, we even know a few prominent people who lived during that time. But what about the everyday people? What did they care about? How did they live their day-to-day lives? Those are the topics I’m most interested in, and topics I love to share.

One thing everyone knows about me: I love books. I love, love, love them! And I also like to talk about books, whether they were great or whether they were awful. This is why I am also dedicating a portion of my blog to books that I’ve read, books that I recommend, and books that were so terrible that I develop buyer’s remorse for ever taking them off the shelf.

TikTok comments’ low character limit can be restrictive, so I thought it would be nice to let people contact me through email. Feel free to talk to me about anything! :)
